Those of you who have been looking at my illustrations for a while know how much I love fashion. Stunning gowns have always been a fascination of mine. 

Illustrations are so much more than just a pretty post or an overdue portfolio entry. If you forget that from time to time, be sure to read this post. 
 

So often I draw something. And it ends up in some folder on my laptop. But some pictures make it out of this folder...

You never stop learning as an artist. And that's why it's still essential for me to take the time to practise, regardless of whether I'm working on a commission or not. Sometimes it's much more theoretical and involves a more in-depth examination of anatomy, sometimes it's a bit more fun and relaxed. Depending on which skill I'm focussing on.

One big goal that I set myself for 2023 has been ticked off. I had photos and illustrations printed for the first time.

Between the learning sessions, simply as a break in between, I also liked to draw in a sketchbook. I kept an OOTD - Outfit Of the day sketchbook. I drew lots of outfits and mini-mes in it. It's a good opportunity for me to practise, stay in practice, try out new things and also draw more freely than when I'm working on commissioned pieces where I'm given a brief of what to illustrate.

Endlich ist es so weit. Meine erster grosser Illustrationsauftrag ist abgeschlossen. Und das Making Of Video ist bereit. Ich erzähle euch in diesem Video vom Entstehungsprozess der Bilder, von der ersten Idee über die erste Skizze, bis hin zum finalen Bild.

Spring is coming soon and with spring come the flowers. I was inspired by old flower sketches and made these cute floral illustrations. You can use them either on a letter, on the envelope, in the bullet journal or as table decoration. They can also function as a name tag.

Christmas will be here soon. So I thought I would make some examples of my favourite Christmas card ideas. Here comes idea number 1, quick to make, pretty simple and it doesn't need any special material. 

We all know the bucket list trend. It's about setting goals for different things, not achievement goals, but moments you'd like to make happen.

The classic method would be a list, a simple bullet list and boxes to check off. I like to illustrate these lists and make them a bit more interesting. It's very simple.

Summer has faded, autumn is here. I have filled a new page in my sketchbook, inspired by all the beautiful pumpkins you can harvest at the moment.
