Trau Dich 2025

A little less than six months ago, I decided to exhibit at the Trau Dich fair in Zurich 2026. There was a great deal to organise and I am incredibly grateful for the relatives and friends who supported me throughout the preparations.

The Stand

On the right you can see my completed stand. It was a wonderful feeling to finally see everything set up just as I had imagined it over the past months. After planning and reworking every detail only in my head, I was relieved and very happy that everything came together so well.

Live Illustration

One of the most important parts of my stand was demonstrating live illustration. Visitors could be drawn as they were at the fair or show me a photo they wanted illustrated. The aim was to give them a clearer idea of what the experience would be like at their wedding if I were to draw the guests on site. Watching people react to their portraits and seeing how much joy a small illustration can bring was one of the highlights of the weekend.

Samples and personalised designs

A significant part of my work as an illustrator involves creating personalised items. These can be wine labels, invitations, menus or decorative pieces. I truly enjoy developing a visual concept that runs through the entire event and brings everything together in a subtle and personal way.

Engagement and wedding illustration

One idea that I particularly love is illustrating important moments of a relationship. The first date, the first kiss, the proposal and finally the wedding itself. These milestones can be displayed as decoration at the venue or kept as a personal collection at home.
Sometimes no photographer is present during the proposal and couples still wish to keep a memory of that moment. In that case I can recreate the scene. You simply send me the location, outfits and the time of day and I illustrate it for you.

The Love Story Illustration

Another favourite of mine is the love story illustration. It brings the milestones of a relationship together in one drawing and offers a beautiful way to look back on everything that has shaped a couple. It captures the moments that have brought them to where they are today and allows these memories to be appreciated again and again. When displayed at the wedding or later at home, it becomes a quiet reminder of a shared journey and the experiences that define it.

What part appeals to you most? Have you ever thought about live illustration at an event? Have you experienced an artist drawing guests at a celebration before?
I look forward to sharing more about the fair and everything that followed in the coming weeks.
