This three-part work is inspired by the psychological patterns that we practise as a result of traumatic experiences. If a child experiences something traumatising, it develops protective mechanisms to avoid getting into such a situation again. These remain even if we have changed, if the experience has not been processed. It is the dragons that want to protect the children in us. However, these dragons may give up their job or take on a new one when the children get older and circumstances change.
The pictures are intended to represent the loving way of dealing with oneself and such behavioural patterns. That forcing and suppressing is not necessarily helpful, as everyone only wants the best.
