It's the end of November, the first snow has already fallen and the Christmas mood is setting in. So I thought I'd share a few ideas with you on how you can make your own simple cards.

Idea 1 - very simple
The first idea is to print out a template and colour it. I still have postcards like this for sale. The templates are printed on watercolour paper and have no advertising or anything similar on the back. If you are interested, please contact me via the contact form. The templates cost CHF 1.50 each.

Idea 2 - quick and easy
The second idea is very simple and quick to make.
Use a black fineliner to write Merry Christmas or something similar on the card.
Then fill the remaining white space with small Christmas doodles. Either with fir branches like I did or you can integrate other subjects.
My tip: Limit yourself to a maximum of three motifs for a harmonious result.

Idea 3 - the Christmas wreath
You don't necessarily have to be experienced to realise this idea. But it is probably easier for more experienced draughtsmen.
Start by drawing a fine circle.
Then arrange various Christmas plants on this circle. Mistletoe branches, fir branches etc.
Fill the holes with berries, stars or snowflakes.
Then you can add colour with watercolours or another medium of your choice.
Optionally, you can trace all the contours with fineliner.

If you don't have time to paint Christmas cards or you don't feel comfortable with the sitft in your hand, you are welcome to order pretty Christmas cards from me.
The postcards are made of high-quality paper, are printed in matt and have a slightly dotted back to make writing easier.
I hope I was able to inspire you with this post and wish you a blessed Christmas season and, above all, lots of fun trying out new things!
See you soon !
