2023 was a wild year. It was just a little more than a year ago, when I changed school. And this changed so much more.
I've got so many opportunities for which I am so thankful for. So let's reflect a bit on the milestones reached during the last twelve months.
En Afang, Album Cover Design
In the first months of the year I was given the opportunity to draw the cover for the GODI band. The EP can be heard on various streaming services.
The lungs were also printed on T-shirts as merchandise and we did a photo shoot with a few volunteers. It was great to plan and realise a shoot properly.
Sometimes I think it's a shame that apart from that I haven't done any more shoots with friends or couples this year.
Maybe something will come up next year?
Juna And The Bear
The illustration project for Märlistadt in Stein am Rhein also began in spring. This was my first paid illustration commission.
I painted 20 pictures for a story which were exhibited at the Christmas market in Stein am Rhein.
This project presented me with new challenges. As I have never drawn 20 pictures for one and the same story, I never thought about how to make sure that the same characters are recognisable in every picture. The time management for so many illustrations also needed attention. But it all worked out well and I was able to finish the pictures in late summer.

First Procreate Workshop
In September, I had the opportunity to give a group of media educators a detailed overview of Procreate. I was able to run a three-hour course, show a lot of things and answer questions.
It was great fun to be able to pass on what I have learnt and to see how much I have learned on my Ipad over the last three years.
I hope that I will have the opportunity to offer courses again next year and share my skills and knowledge.
First Prints

My first printed postcards were a particular highlight for me. I was very pleased to be able to hold something printed in my hands.
If you want to see all the postcards, you can find an entry in my portfolio.
Children's Book Illustration
Another illustration commission involved pictures for a children's book for a private client. I enjoyed reading the story of this dog's adventures and then drawing the pictures to go with it. I drew these illustrations this autumn and made the final adjustments just before the end of the year. You can see some of them in the gallery on the right.
Starting a Youtube Channel

Starting a YouTube channel took a lot of effort and it wasn't always easy. But I'm excited to see where it might lead and I definitely plan to continue next year. I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about video and documenting my journey.
Illustration Workshop
The last milestone this year was the workshop at Märlistadt. I spent several hours there drawing with the children and some parents with the help of two friends. I illustrated and printed the templates, which the children then coloured in with great joy and passion to create their own Christmas cards.
This workshop also gave me great pleasure and I hope that I will be able to share this with other creative people next year.

The year 2023 has given me many opportunities for which I am incredibly grateful. I had the chance to learn so much and was able to try out many new things. I am thankful for the milestones I could achieve this year and how many projects could be realized alongside school.
I want to express my gratitude to everyone who supported me this year, with expertise, kind words, feedback, and much more. Thank you to all of you who regularly read my posts, watch my videos, and follow me on social media.
A special thanks to those who have told others about me; you made it possible for me to take on several projects this year. See you soon in the next year!
