I postponed drawing an autumn illustration for a long time. I thought about it for so long. But no idea has inspired me to at least make a sketch. Under the title ‘Fall Illustration’ in my sketchbook, it was empty for a long time.
Then one evening after a long day of lectures I wanted to unpack my pencil case and found bits of the Kapa plates from building the model. These gave me an idea.
The goal was a map that plays with different levels. I was inspired by various autumn landscapes.
Unfortunately, the result is not quite what I had in mind. I don't like the height differences yet, they are too high, the colours have too little contrast and there is still a lack of detail and structure. A lot of this is probably due to the fact that I didn't have enough time to really immerse myself in the drawing. Every hour that I find time to simply draw for myself is a luxury at the moment.

Nevertheless, I decided to upload the video and write this blog post without being able to show an improved version.
It's important to me to show that it doesn't always work on the first try. Even if you are very practised, it usually takes several attempts. But it is precisely these that help you to improve.
Don't give up!
