back at it

Last week I had my last exams and finally graduated.
After all the studying and exams, I was glad to have more time for myself and my own projects again.

studying for the oral exams

I had to read a lot of books for the oral exams. They were easy to read on the lake. :) (thanks to the stand up paddle board)

It's very special that for the first time in what must be four years, there are no school-related to-dos on my list during the holidays. I now have a summer free of learning. And I'm going to enjoy it.

I spent the first week recovering a bit and taking a break. For the first time in a long time, I was able to just sit down for a few hours and paint whatever I felt like. It wasn't tied to a project and I didn't have to do anything specific. That wasn't easy because I somehow always feel the need to have a specific goal. But I have resolved that my goal is to follow my spontaneous inspiration more and perhaps discover something new again.

my workplace

I spent two days doing trial work for a summer job and resumed my ongoing illustration commissions.  Because I can't and don't want to just live for the day. After all, I love a challenge and already have more ideas than I have time for where I want to improve. I'll tell you more about my summer plans soon.

See you then!
